Pecan Bars

- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 1 cup butter
- 1 egg
Grease 9" x13" pan. Set aside 2/3 cup cake mix. In large mixing bowl, combine remaining cake mix, butter and egg. Mix until crumbly. Press into bottom of pan. Bake at 350 F for 15 min to 20 min until light brown.
Filling
- 2/3 cup reserved cake mix
1 & 1/2 cups dark corn syrup
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla.
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Mix filling except pecans. Pour over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with pecans. Return to oven and bake for 30 to 35 min. at 359 degrees.
