Very simple slow cooker shredded meat for tacos (or not.) 3 to 4 pounds of any cheap meat.
Meats we have tried:
- Beef rump ( meatspice: 2 tbs chili powder )
Pork butt ( meatspice: 1 tbs chipotle & 2 tbs cumin )
- Bison stewmeat ( meatspice: 2 tbs chipotle )
Gather:
- 1 small can tomatoes
- 1 cup red wine
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tbs salt
- 1 tbs gelatin
- 2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 meatspice
- 1 meat
Cook:
- Mix wine, tomatoes, spices, garlic, salt and pepper in slow cooker pot.
- Add the meat.
Cook on low (high if you're in a hurry) until meat comes apart easily with a fork ( 6 - 12 hours depending on meat & state of frozen. )
- If you are so inclined, pull the meat apart as it goes.
