Whole Wheat Banana Bread
Makes 1 loaf.
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 ripe bananas
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 10 oz whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- (1/2 cup chopped pecans)
- (1 tbs poppy seeds)
Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter and sugar. Add bananas, eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda and salt.
Add the dry to the wet and mix. Stir in the chopped nuts. Pour into a greased 1 pound loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes then finish cooling on wire rack.
