Wheat Griddle Cakes
All whole wheat, from Fanny Farmer but double and with more milk.
- 2 cups milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 11 oz whole wheat flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
Mix the wet together (including sugar) in one bowl. Mix the dry together in another bowl. Heat the griddle. Add the dry to the wet all at once and combine gently (leave it lumpy!) Dollop onto griddle, flip, serve and eat.
