Turn On
- Heater
- There is a grey all-weather switch on the house to the right of the sliding glass doors, turn it 'ON'.
- There is a rocker switch on the heater, turn it 'ON'.
- There is a temperature control knob on the heater, you probably should not mess with it.
- Pump
- Press the center (low speed) or right (high speed) button on the pump control switch (but never both)
- Wait until the temperature reaches 104F.
Turn Off
- Press the lit button on the pump control switch. The light should go out and the pump should stop.
- There is a grey all-weather switch on the house to the right of the sliding glass doors, turn it 'OFF'.
Problem?
Check the circuit breakers; they are located in the gray box on the back of the deck. Because the circuits are outside, the breakers are GFCI, and if there is an excessive amount of moisture, or if it rains, then they'll trip. Flip them to 'ON', and restart.
Drain and Clean
Draining, cleaning and refilling the tub takes a little more than a hour.
- Turn off the pump and heater if it is running.
- Walk around to the pump side of the deck. Identify the large object filter (it has a clear plastic screw top) and the water filter (it is a black horizontal cylindrical chamber).
- Follow the pipe from the water filter back under the deck. There are two handle valves; one should be open (up), and one should be closed (down). Open the closed one by turning it a quarter turn and pulling it up. Water should start to flow out the hose slowly.
- Walk back around to the main tub. Look under the tub, near the stairs, and find the main tub drain plug. Remove this plug, and set it aside (do NOT loose it). Water should flow out the drain quickly. (Consider putting a brick in front of the water flow to keep it from rushing into the bottom bedroom.)
- Walk back to the water filter. Remove the top of the filter chamber by unscrewing the top , and lifting the top off. Take care to not damage the gasket. Remove the water filter by pulling it straight out. Rinse the filter fins until they are white. Consider bleaching the filter.
- Unscrew the top of the large object filter, and put the top aside. Remove the object basket by lifting the metal handle and unscrewing it about 1/4 turn. Rinse all the stuff out of the basket, and reseat it.
- Once the water is all drained from the tub, you need to drain out the water from the large object filter chamber and the water filter chamber. At the bottom of each chamber is a drain plug; unscrew each, wait until the chambers are drained, and return the plugs.
- Clean the tub. This can be as simple as brushing down the sides, or as messy as getting in there with a toothbrush. Ask yourself, "How dirty is this?" If very dirty, work harder.
- Replace the clear plastic top to the large object filter chamber.
- Replace the water filter, and recap the water filter top. Again, pay attention to the gasket.
- Close the exit valve by pushing down on handle, and screwing it about a quarter turn.
- Replace the main drain plug.
Refill the main tank immediately, even if you do not plan on using it.
