Program? Hours?
Max is very adventurous and we're hoping to find a school with plenty of hands-on activities and not too much structure. At home Max lives with four adults and one older brother; at his nanny's he's doted on as a boy in a large family of girls. We'd love him to start forming peer relations with a mob of kids his age. We expect Max will be at preschool all day most days, 8 - 6.
Temperament? Activities?
Max is extremely outgoing and social. He's very insistent about doing things for himself (even more so than his older brother at this age) and will be angry for several minutes if some adult, say, opens the refrigerator to get him some milk. Max delights in climbing and is quite adept at moving furniture around to reach items of interest. Recently he has enjoyed pounding out some "tunes" on our piano and playing make-believe games with his brother.
Preschool or daycare?
Max has not been to daycare or preschool. He currently has a full time nanny. His brother Heath went to SF Waldorf for kindergarten and is now in third grade at Creative Arts Charter School.
Participate?
We'd love to participate at Pacific Primary. Among the four of us adults we are handy with tools, handy with computers, handy with event organization and have flexible schedules.
